About "Broken Yellow Hearted"

Releasing October 30, 2026, "Broken Yellow Hearted" (BYH) serves as the flagship single from Tehran Don’s conceptual project, This Side of the World.

Built over an expressive arrangement of live piano, saxophone, strings, and crisp drums, the track is an intimate, unapologetic reflection on refugee migration and self-representation. Drawing direct inspiration from his own asylum court hearing at age 9, Tehran Don contrasts personal memories of pride and survival with sharp commentary on borders and identity—anchored by the standout line, "Who the fuck can tell the butterfly he needs a visa?"
